Many single-storey rear extensions fall under permitted development, within limits on size, height and position. Side, wraparound and two-storey extensions, and homes in conservation areas, more often need a planning application. We confirm the right route at your first call.

Councils aim to decide householder applications within eight weeks of validation. Survey and design come first, so allow for that before submission.

No. The drawings are approved before work starts. The completion certificate is issued by Building Control after construction, once their inspections are done.

No. With Design & Approvals you choose your own builder and use our drawings to get quotes. The Complete Design & Build route is still being set up.
